Job Opportunity: Political and Economic Specialist(~2.4)

Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Montreal and Permanent Mission to ICAO is currently accepting applications for the position of "Political and Economic Specialist(a full-time position) ".

Job Description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  - Provide research and analysis related to political and economic issues in the Consulate General's jurisdiction(primarily Quebec, but also the Atlantic province) through briefing documents and oral communicaiont;

  - Provide research and analysis related to ICAO;

  - Monitor local and national media and report on relevant issues and trends relating to the Consulate General's jurisdiction;

  - Draft remaks/speeches for Consulate General diplomats to give at public

  - Assist diplomats in meeting with external stakeholders, including the Government of Quebec, the City of Montreal, the pricate sector, academia, etc.;

  - Provide support for events organized by the consulate General (e.g., logistical support, media liaison, etc.);

  - Provide French to English interpretation and translation support, when needed;

  - Other general administrative work, as needed.

*Job duties my be modified depending on the Consulate General's staffing needs and cricumstances.

Qualifications

  - Canadian citizens or permanent residents

  - Those who meet the one of three requirements below

    •︎ Master's degree holder in a field related to employment(international politics/economics, international cooperation, bilateral diplomacy, etc.)

    •︎ Those with 5 years or more experience in a field related to employment after obtaining a Bachelor's degree

    •︎ Those with significant reasons to be recognized as experts in other related fields
